Joanne Bromwell What type of road/trail surface is it from the parketing lot to the start? Can I ride a road bike with skinny tires on it? Tks.

Joanne Bromwell If it's a gravel road and I can't use my bike, I would like to sign up to carpool. How do I do that? I'm coming from out of town so don't know the area well. Tks.

Candice Burt you can take the road to the start with your bike, you don't have to go on the interurban trail. Park at Fairhaven Park then ride along Chuckanut Drive until you get to the start of the race, the parking lot "North Chuckanut trailhead" on your left right after Old Samish Rd. The start is at: 1016 Chuckanut Drive Bellingham, WA 98229.
