Hi Laurie, congratulations on taking on Iron Legs. It will be my first go at the mountain as well. If you're running ~50km at Sin7 then you will be in great shape for Iron Legs. I'm no expert but what I've read and heard is keep a plan and keep your support. Write down your plan and track to it no less than weekly. Keep your support by letting those around you know what you're up to and stay close to other runners with similar goals. Hope helps, perhaps even makes sense.
If you're interested, I'm planning on organizing some training runs on portions of the Iron Legs course once that white stuff melts off the trail. Would be great if that works for you. Let me know.

I'm registered for Iron Legs and will be running it for the first time this year. That's if I can stay injury free this time!
Any pointers with regards to training for this race? I will be running an approximate 50km at Sinister 7 in July and was wondering how I should continue training till Iron Legs?

ive got 550km so far in 2013 think 1,00 and will be inshape.

my training has been sat and siunday about 1.5 hours and 2 hours mon easy 5-8k tuesday 10k wed 16k thursday easy 5-8k friday off or bike.
ran a 3 hour run 3 weeks ago and some vhikes alternate sundays.
