This is going to be my first Ultra Marathon and really stoked! Is anyone planning training runs at the park?

Marshall: Alex P, myself, and others train in PW Forest quite a bit. Additionally, you'll find many VHTRC members in the park often. I am in PW Forest 5-out-of-7 days of the week. We will likely put together a few training runs in the build up to June. Stay posted...we will try and let runners know about any plans to train on the course as a group. Glad you are running the OSS/CIA as your first ultra!

Hopefully everyone received the email from Alex P., but just in case you don't remember, or did not, there is a training run tomorrow at Prince William Forest Park, beginning at 6 AM from the Visitor's Center, and completing one loop of the 50 mile course.

Great run on the course this morning by everyone. Humid, yes, but beautiful, and well supported. Great aid station stocked by all. Nice to have the legends (like Gary Knipling) out on the course with us. Going to be a great 50+ come the 23rd of June. For participants...Alexander P registered 2700 ft of gain overall for one loop.

Yes, folks you can expect close to 5700ft of gain and loss for the run. Let the adventure begin!
