WELCOME!

Run your first ultra - or your fastest - with us in the beautiful Oakland hills! Skyline 50k offers a scenic and moderately hilly figure 8 course on dirt trails through East Bay Regional Parks, from Lake Chabot Marina to Skyline Gate and returning along much of the Skyline National Recreation Trail. Invite your friends and family to join you and to celebrate your achievement at the now famous post-race BBQ and pig roast on the expansive lawn at Chabot.  For more information on the course and other ins and outs, visit our website.

Part of the PAUSTF Grand Prix, Skyline 50k is a great, classic race that welcomes you. Read Sarah Lavender Smith's account at The Runner's Trip.

Aid

Seven well-stocked aid stations along the course, in addition to the start/finish. Want to follow your runner, or come to an Aid Station as, say, a volunteer? Use this map.

Given to top male and female and top finishers in each 10-year age group. We also give special awards to the first male and female rookie ultramarathoners.

Time Limit

8-hour time limit (~15 min/mile). Intermediate cut-offs at Skyline Gate (mile 14.4 - 3.5 hours) and on the return at Bort Meadow (mile 23.3, 6 hours). Contact us for early start options or support if you think you'll be at the back of the pack. Skyline supports all runners to a safe and satisfying finish.
