This Event Took Place Sat. Oct 20, 2012

The Quicksilver Challenge includes 3 races: a Half Marathon, 10k and one mile Kids Race, run on scenic, single track trails and fire roads in the historic Quicksilver mining territory of Almaden Quicksilver County Park. Travel through peaceful oak forests and open meadows, with great views of the Santa Clara Valley and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Although the course is very challenging, the beautiful scenery will make the miles go by quickly. If you’ve only run roads before, the Quicksilver Challenge is a wonderful introduction to trail running. All finishers will receive a finishers medal and the top three in the Half Marathon and 10k will receive medals as well. There will also be tee shirts given to all runners that register on before October 5th. Proceeds from this event will again be donated to Achieve Kids. Over the years Quicksilver Running Club has donated nearly $100,000 to the Achieve Kids organization.

We will be offering same-day registration the morning of the race from 6am.

Day of race entry fees:
- 10K: $45
- Half Marathon: $55

The one mile kids race will be free..
