THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

This is Michael Barrett, RD of the TARC Summer Classic. I am sorry to let you know that the race is canceled for 2020. I wanted to let you know right away, in case it impacts your summer training or race plans. The feeling was that it's not worth risking the health of runners or volunteers. Hopefully you understand and this doesn’t come a surprise.

Options for those who have registered and paid:

1) We would ask that you consider your fee a donation to the Trustees, who we donate to each year.
2) For the 2021 registration, we can offer those who are interested/need the financial support a 50% discount. Please contact me before you register for the 2021 race, and a discount code will be provided.
3) If you would like a refund, contact me directly.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Happy running. Stay safe!

INTRO

A great 10 mile loop with a variety of terrain, including some great trails along the Charles River and the surrounding wetlands and views from the top of Noon Hill. Covers several sections of the Bay Circuit Trail system.

Start time for both races distances is 7:00 am. There will be a mandatory 6:45 am pre-race briefing. . Two choices: 50K or 40M.  The course starts/finishes at Holt Pond parking lot on Noon Hill Road in Medfield, MA, winding through Noon Hill Reservation. A beautiful but challenging 10 mile circuit consisting of mostly single track trail with varied terrain. With a dirt road into the starting area, one road crossing, and very few house sightings during the run, you will truly feel like you're running in the wilderness, not in a suburb about 15 miles from Boston! This race is an oasis in a month that is a virtual desert with respect to trail race options in New England and is perfectly positioned for those training for a late summer or fall trail ultra. The number of runners will be limited to 100 for both races combined so act fast if you want to take part. A sizable portion of your entry fee will be donated to the Trustees of the Reservation, the not-for-profit organization that owns and maintains the reservation. The total contribution from all runners will be matched by a personal donation to the Trustees from the race director! THERE ARE NO REFUNDS, NO TRANSFERS AND NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT.
