Buffalo Stampede

4540 American River Drive

Sacramento , CA 10m , Migration

This Event Took Place Sun. Sep 23, 2012

It's a party! The Buffalo Stampede 10-Mile Run/Walk, the race that kicked off Sacramento’s road-racing tradition, turns FORTY this year! We are celebrating with music, special prizes, and the commemorative 40th anniversary shirt! The certified and scenic course is part of the Buzz Oates RunSac Race Series and offers a $200 bonus prize for breaking the course records. As the sister race to the Urban Cow Half Marathon, the Buffalo Stampede is the perfect training distance for this great event, and for your other fall half-marathons. Our race benefits Rio Americano and C.K. McClatchy High Schools' athletic programs, and Fit for Girls, the Sacramento not-for-profit that exists to improve the overall health and well-being of adolescent girls. It is one of the four events the Buffalo Chips Running Club sponsors each year, including the Free Fourth of July Five Mile Run in Riverpark, to encourage health and fitness in the community, and celebrate runners and walkers of all ages and levels.
