Course
Description for Trail runs - Single track trails around Pajarito
Mountain and surrounding trails in Santa Fe National Forest through
mixed conifer, aspen forests and mountain meadows at elevation between
9000-10400ft. Short section goes through area burnt during 2011 Las
Conchas fire.
10 Km: Counterclockwise circumnavigation of
Pajarito Mountain (going up west side on Half Aspen trail (if trail
rehabilitation is complete), up Rim Run to the summit, down east side on
Aspenola & Lower Aspenola trails to the finish.
15 Miles: Same as above plus out & back on Guaje Canyon trail to the Guaje Canyon Overlook.
Damned Dirty Du Duathlon: Trail run - Mtn. Bike - Trail Run format, distance TBD.
Races
are part of traditional Ullrfest celebration at Pajarito Mountain.
Proceeds from the races will benefit the following local non-profit
organizations: Pajarito Environmental Education Center, Pajarito
Mountain Ski Club, Southwest Nordic Ski Club and Triatomics.
