Description
The Cedro Peak Ultra is the Albuquerque Road Runner's first foray into hosting an ultramarathon. The races are 45 miles and 28 miles (45 km). 100% of the proceeds go to charity. The course is almost entirely sweet, rocky, hilly single track. It passes through ponderosa pine, pinon, and juniper forests and has some great views of the Sandia Mountains. The race is an environmentally friendly leave-no-trace event bringing exciting trail running to Albuquerque's doorstep. Many sections are very rocky, but there are some fast, non-technical sections.
