Description
The Noble Canyon 50k is run each year in the beautiful mountains in east San Diego county -California. Most of the course is runable singe-tack trail. Some have described it as a lollipop shaped course. This year's race will be held on Sep 21, 2013 will start at 6:30AM with a 9:30hour cutoff.
There are a few changes to the 2013 course! Please study the maps and review this description.
Like previous years the course will start and finish at the Al Bahr Shrine Camp (Mount Laguna, CA). After you run through the Al Barh Camp and El Prado Campground you will continue straight onto trail #8 (instead of turning left toward Little Laguna Lake). You will quickly “T” into the east side of Big Laguna Lake, turn right and continue to Penny Pines. You will then go down Noble Canyon. Stay on the main trail all the way to the trailhead which includes taking the sharp left at “big bend” (instead of going straight to Pine Creek Road). You will run through the aid station and return to the Noble Canyon Trail via the cutoff trails. You will run back up Noble Canyon to Penny Pines. Loop around the PCT, reconnect with the Laguna trails, and finish back at the Al Bahr Shrine Camp.
The race is run on National Forest land.
We hope you can join us for this fun and challenging race.
