Description

One of North America's best known ultramarathons. Also includes a 3-person 50K Relay and a One-Loop Run(11 Mile). The trail is easy enough to be a good first-time trail course; technical enough to give an advantage to seasoned trail runners. Measure yourself against time, distance...and Mother Nature!

We're known for the great post-race foods - particularly our array of soups. Overall men's and women's winner of the 50K receive a large, engraved, Indiana specialty trophy of very thick, translucent art glass by the oldest art glass manufacturer in the US. Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and age group plaques are awarded in all divisions.

A custom finisher's belt buckle will be awarded to each participant completing The HUFF 50K individual race (gold) or HUFF 50K Relay (silver). A custom medal will be awarded to each One Loop finisher.

HUFF logo gear for all 50K and 50K Relay participants. The 2018 logo gear is a very special item. HUFF race t-shirt included for every registrant in all divisions.

Race start: 8 am for one-loop and relay; 8:15 am for 50K individual runners. All runners must be finished by sundown (approximately 5 pm)

Runners wishing to fuel up and enjoy a bit of camaraderie before Saturday's adventure have an opportunity to enjoy Indiana craft beer in downtown Columbia City at Chapman's Tap Room located one block east of Running Around Screen Printing's location. Chapman's now has a full menu from Ragin' Cajun - the food has received rave reviews.

Optional Pre-Race Mailing of Bib Number and T-shirt

We experimented with early mailing of bib numbers and packets in 2017. We learned a lot; have improved the process and urge those who want to ensure an easier race morning experience to check out this option.

Want to receive your bib number, HUFF race t-shirt and other gear prior to the race?

Your shirt, bib number and maps will be sent approximately two weeks before the race by US Mail to the address shown on your registration if you choose this option.

We may even throw in a surprise item or two as well.

You will still pick up the HUFF logo item and hand/foot warmers on race morning.
