Description

½ Marathon starts at 12:30 (hikers please allow 5 hours minimum)- a GREAT way to get started or stay started with building up to better timing or longer distances. This hike gives you a little of everything from flat trails to steep inclines on the north and west side of Lookout Mountain. This hike will be lead by Fred Robinson, an avid hike. Though this is a Hiking event, trail runners are welcomed. This is not a timed race, but you are encouraged to keep your own time for training purposes.

¼ Marathon begins at 12:30 (hikers please allow 2 hours minimum) - This hike will be lead by Kevin Calhoon, Assistant Curator of Forest, Tennessee Aquarium. During the hike, Kevin will talk about the Civil War and wildlife on Lookout Mountain. The entire hike takes place on core battlefield. These courses is less challenging than the ½ Marathon, but make no mistake, it will be a great workout!
