WHAT IS THE MYSTERY RANCH ULTRA CHALLENGE?
AN ULTRA RUNNING ADVENTURE EMBODYING THE HISTORY OF THE MONTANA ROCKIES WITHIN AN EARSHOT OF YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK.
THE FOOL'S GOLD 50M ENDURANCE RUNS WILL START ON 24 AUG AND HAVE A 16 HOUR LIMIT.
THE GHOSTS OF YELLOWSTONE 100M WILL START ON 23 AUG AND HAVE A 38 HOUR TIME LIMIT.
IT IS A NEW SET OF ULTRA MARATHONS COMING TO MONTANA'S MADISON COUNTY AND BEAVERHEAD-DEERLODGE NATIONAL FOREST IN AUGUST. RUN, HIKE, AND CONQUER EITHER COURSE IN THE SHADOWS AND GHOSTS OF HOLLOW TOP MOUNTAIN (10,604 FT), MOUNT JEFFERSON (10,512 FT), AND OVER 23 OTHER 10,000 FOOT PEAKS IN THE AREA. Time & Date:
What a great way to start....the basics! The Fool's Gold 50M will start at 06:00am on 24 AUG 2013. The time limit will be 14 hours. Runners who want an early start are able to start at 04:00am....a 16 hour time limit. The Ghosts of Yellowstone 100M will start at 06:00am on 23 AUG 2013. There will be a 38 hour time limit.
Start/Finish Location:
The start and finish location will be in front of the Old Pony Gym in Pony, Montana 59747. Pony is a historic ghost town and has a rich piece of American history. Geographically, Pony is located a one hour drive from Bozeman, Montana; an hour and fifteen minutes from Butte; 40 minutes from the cowboy Town of Ennis, and just under and hour and forty-five minutes from Yellowstone National Park!
Route/Courses:
The 50M and 100M modified out and back courses, allowing by better crew access and multi-use aid stations for simplified runner logistics planning.
Participants:
Each event will have a participant limit of 100 runners. Each event will be its own waitlist. We expect both event to fill quickly, especially those into seeking a new ultra challenge.
Pricing:
The cost for the Fool's Gold 50M will be $110.00. The cost for the Ghosts of Yellowstone will be $225.00. We do not expect or foresee any cost fluctations at this time.
