Brief Course Change Descriptions:
10mi (approx 10.5mi). New section of Jug Mtn. Reservoir trail added. Doubleshot Trail ascent added- same as 2012 start.
20mi (approx 21mi). Same changes as 10 mile. New Aid Station added at Louie Lake Dam.
40M (approx 39mi- same vertical gain as previous years). Same changes as 10/20mi above. From Jug Meadows Aid- climb Ladybug Summit and traverse the 1mi cross country ridge to the summit of Jughandle Mountain. Descend to new aid station at Louie Lake Dam (ATV access only). Do the Louie Lake Loop to Boulder Lakes Aid Station (same location as 2014). Climb to Shaw Twin, but the Aid Station there is now an unmanned water station (only 3 mi from last station at Boulder). After traversing the Boulder Mountain Summit, the Lake Fork drainage has been removed from the race. A new backcountry Aid Station (Buckhorn Aid) has been added at the east end of Boulder Lake to begin the new climb and descent of Buckhorn Summit. Head back down to Boulder Lakes Aid and finish the same as 2014- through IDL Lands and Jug Mtn Ranch.
Location: Jug Mountain Ranch, lying just a few miles south of downtown McCall, has again graciously agreed to host our runs! With world class golf, a fabulous restaurant and miles of amazing singletrack, JMR has added a serious touch of class to the races. It will be the perfect launching point into the rugged, high alpine above. We will have access to their amazing clubhouse and restaurant for the start/finish line, registration process and pre/post-race party. The camping will be in the same area it was in the past- just 200 yards up the hill from the clubhouse. Please reserve your pre-race meals and camping at checkout.
