Earth Day 50k/15 mile

Celebrate Earth Day by running through the woods, enjoying nature, and making new friends! Join MUDD for our 3rd annual race at the hidden gems of Veteran Acres and Sternes Woods in Crystal Lake, IL. The beautiful course features winding single track, rolling hills, blossoming spring flowers, open prairie, and pine forest.

Sign up by March 30th to be guaranteed a tech race shirt. We have sold out the last two years so be sure to sign up early.

We have "earthy" designed cotton feel tech race shirts. The shirts are really cool, you will have to be registered by April 7th to recieve one.

It's a perfect goal race or warm up for Ice Age 50 & 50k. Here is the address for the starting line at Veterans Acres Main parking lot in Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Race start is 431 N. Walkup, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. 8 am start with packet pickup starting at 6:30 am. Race will fill up quickly with a cap of 275 runners!

Earth Day 50k and 15 mile

Overall awards are made by Ric NIenstedt out of Mahogany wood. Ric is a major volunteer in keeping the parks of Veteran Acres cleaned up after storms. You can see his handy work through out the park as you pass through Possum Pass or the Leg Bone Loop. Ask a local and they will tell you the intriguing stories behind these magical places.

The course is a 5 mile loop. There is one major aid station at the start/finish line. We will have homemade goodies as well as typical ultra food: Soup, cookies, PB & J, gatorade, soda, nacho chili bar, chips, pretzels We are working towards making this race "landfill free" so please bring your own water bottle.

Earth Day 5 mile Trail race!

We had so many request we decided to add a 5 mile race distance. Here is your chance to tear up the trails of VA. The course runs through single track, rolling hills that will challenge and help you. The course is set up as a PR trail race.

All races will start together. We will start in the ball field and run around the pond to allow runners to spread out before they hit the single track.

1st Overall Male and Female will receive an award. They will be taken out of AG awards.
