Buffalo Stampede

4540 American River Drive

Sacramento, CA 10 Miler

This Event Took Place Sun. Sep 7, 2014

Description

The Buffalo Stampede 10-Mile Run/Walk, the race that kicked off Sacramento’s road-racing tradition, will take place for the forty-first time this year! We are celebrating with music, special prizes, finisher medals, and the commemorative 40th Anniversary annual shirt! The certified and scenic course is part of the Buzz Oates RunSac Race Series and offers a $200 bonus prize for breaking the course records. As the sister race to the Urban Cow Half Marathon, the Buffalo Stampede is the perfect training distance for this great event, and for your other fall half-marathons. This year we are doing a raffle that includes many great prizes, including free entries into other local races, and other prizes to be announced soon! Our race benefits Rio Americano athletic programs, Rio Americano High School Marching Band, the Youth Chips, and Fit for Girls, the Sacramento not-for-profit that leads middle-school girls to believe in themselves through running, fitness, and friendships. It is one of the four events the Buffalo Chips Running Club sponsors each year, including the Free Fourth of July Five Mile Run in River Park, to encourage health and fitness in the community, and celebrate runners and walkers of all ages and levels.
