"Rock n Drop" Skydive 50k/25k Group Run -- $25

Sept 20, 2014 @ 5 a.m. (ignore the Ultrasignup banner - this one starts EARLY!!!!)
Nathan Dean Sports Complex, Rockmart, GA
( 60 minutes from downtown Atlanta)

SKYDIVING AND RUNNING AN ULTRA MARATHON... DOESNT GET ANY MORE EPIC THAN THIS PARTY PEOPLE!
Run 25k or 50k and then JUMP OUTTA A PLANE!!! (you don't have to jump if you want to but we encourage you to step out of your comforst zone. If you can run 50k you can do anything!)
We will be running a 25k /50k and then afterwards ALL are welcome to go skyding at Skydive Georgia just 5 minutes down the road. You must pay for your skydive and call them yourself to book. We are not responsible for this.
This is a paid group run, as there will be some basic aid provided, and times will be recorded. No shirts. No frills. Just $25 for either the 50k or the 25k.

Course

First, we meet at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex to start the run. We are still working out the specific course for both the 50k and the 25k, but group members will be running a 7 ish mile out n back with a mix of pavement and unpaved road. Runners will finish at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex. This is a flat / rolling hills course. No notable climbs! Could be a PR course! Get that last training run in before the Fall racing season!

AID:
We will have 2-3 aid stations for the 25k and 4-6 for the 50k.
Restrooms, water, gatorade, and some fruit will be at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex. We will drop basic aid (water/gatorade) once along the course, but it will be near an out and back section for both distances, so the aid will be hit twice. We will have 2 "major" aid stations per 25k. This will be water, gatorade, bananas, cookies, salt. basic stuff. Runners will need to bring any other items needed for support.

DROP BAGS:

You can drop a bag at the start finish of the 25/50k. This means you get it at 25k and 50k.

TIMING:

Runner times will be recorded at the finish.

AWARDS:

You will receive a friendly pat on the back for finishing. You will earn bragging rights/ a rock for finishing first. What rock? closest one we can find.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF. This is a group run with light structure, but ultimately you are responsible for yourself and your nutrition/hydration. Plan accordingly. You are definitely responsible for yourself with respect to the Skydive -- it won't be the Run Bum's fault if you go *splat* on the ground.

After you run, head on over to Skydive Georgia (address below) to take EPIC to a whole 'nother level! The Skydive is an ADDITIONAL fee, but we have worked out some epic discounts, so be sure to take advantage of them! Give Skydive Georgia a call (number below) to make arrangements! A few rules... * Anyone littering at any point will be disqualified and banned from all future Run Bum Tours races * No cutting course - cutting the course will result in immediate disqualification * All traffic laws, laws and regulations MUST be obeyed at all times * Runners must stop to help any injured runner * No removing flagging or markers etc, or you'll be immediately disqualified * No pacers * Slower runners should keep to the right * Faster runners should pass on the left * Don't be a jerk No refunds, transfers or deferments.
