Standhope

Park Creek Campground to Star Hope Campground

Ketchum, ID Stage Race, 60K, 25K

This Event Took Place Sat. Aug 15, 2015

Description

A very difficult and exceptionally beautiful run through the Pioneer Mountains. Entrants will reach a high point of 11,000' during the course of the race. Entry should NOT be taken lightly. This race is an excellent trainer for any high-altitude 50 or 100 Miler. Runners will receive a unique award for finishing this event.

30K OPTION (July 27th): This will take place over the last half of the 60K (July 27th), and is no joke. Please do not sign up for this event unless you are prepared for a long, tough day in the mountains. With an average vertical climb of 325' per mile and the added challenge of traversing remote terrain this race will challenge even the best athletes. ALL your aid is hiked in. Runners typically take four to six hours to finish this incredible 30 Km race. Much like the Sarlacc from "Return of the Jedi," you will find a new definition of pain and suffering, only maybe not over the course of 1,000 years.
