Some race tips
A lot of folks run roads and are coming to this race having never run trails before. This is okay we have 60% of the folks running a trail race for the first time. The course is a mix of single track trail and wide open dirt road. We HIGHLY recommend trail shoes. Road shoes mean youre higher up and more likely to roll an ankle.
You need a head lamp that has AT LEAST 150 lumens... the more you see the safer you are and the faster you can go!
This is what Yeti himself runs. It is a different course where you guys will be crossing through the river calf deep at night. The course is meant to be lots of fun and not as tame as the 5 mile/10 mile. You will get your feet wet and you will have a lot of fun!
You MUST have a head lamp to run the race. We see people try and save money and bring some cheap flashlight. Guess what? These are the people tripping over things and getting lost. They cant see. You need at least 150 lumens for your head lamp and NEW BATTERIES before you run.
Highly recommend the 1600 lumen headlamp we have forsake at check out.
