A group of dedicated volunteers, in conjunction with the Allegheny Mountains Running CLub, is putting a second ultra marathon on the 2014 club calendar in Emporium, Pa., in Cameron County. The race site is located about 2 hours north of Altoona and 1 1/2 hours north of State College. The trail races will be conducted mostly on Pennsylvania Department of Conservation's Elk State Forest lands trails.
The Sinnemahone Ultra Marathon Trail Run consists of a 50K, 25K and 10K. The course is a single-loop course, starting in downtown Emporium and include much of the Bucktail Path in Elk State Forest.
The name Sinnemahoning means “Stony Lick” in the Lenape language.

The prime sponsor for the event is again PIOGA (Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association). PIOGA generously sponsored the first SInnemahone.
