Packet pick-up will be held March 23rd from 4-8 p.m. at Horseman's Campground (aka start/finish). There will also be race day packet pick-up starting 6 a.m at the start/finish.
The Owen Putnam Start Forest 5050 race consist of a 50K, and a 50M starting at 7am. We offer an early starting time of 6am for those needing extra time for the 50k/50mile. We will have a 14 mile fun run starting at 8am. This course is considered one of the toughest in Indiana with over 6500 elevation ascent in the 50 mile.
The course is set in Owen-Putnam State Forest and starts at Horseman's Campground. Terrain is 90% single track with a few sections of fire road. The 50 mile run will complete three 14.1 mile loops plus one 8.5 mile loop for a total of around 50.8 miles. The 50 Kilometer run will complete one 14.1 mile loop plus two 8.5 mile loops for a total of around 31.1 miles. The fun run is one 14.1 mile loop These trails are very rugged. We think it is the toughest trail race in Indiana. It is also rumored to be the oldest.
A short sleeve technical shirt will be offered to all entrants. Medals will be awarded to all finishers. Shirts will not be guaranteed to those who register after March 15th.

If you wish to camp at Horseman's Campground it's $13 per night. If you camp make sure you bring cash/check since you will be self-registering. Camping is first come basis. We haven't had a problem before with camping and there should be plenty of spots.
