RACE DAY INFO

We hope that you have a great race day experience so here are a few notes before race day to help answer some questions.
If you have not registered there is race day registration for $35.
Early packet p/u is @ NEWSOLE Running store in McDonough (1315 McDonough Parkway, McDonough GA) from 12-6pm Friday.
Packet p/u race day will be in the lot beside Jailhouse Brewing Company (8 Cherry St Hampton, GA) starting @ 5pm.
Parking in Downtown Hampton is exciting. There is public parking along Main St, a new parking lot beside the police station, and the train depot. There is no parking along Cherry St. and please do not park in the apartment parking lot south of Jailhose... or anybody's driveway.
If you payed for a wrist band you will get it when you pick up your bib. After the race you'll have to have the wrist band on and show your ID (must be 21) to get into the Brewery.
The race will start promptly @ 6pm on Cherry St. 2 blocks North of Jailhouse Brewing Company..
There will be 3 portopotties by the start line... plan accordingly.
Please keep your bib visible when you come across the finish line. If you swap your bib with your mother, father, aunt, uncle, uncle's sister, the dude down the street, your pastor, or anyone who isn't you; please let us know before the race starts. It kinda jacks up the awards process.
Awards will be given out shortly after the last runner has finished the race.
The course will be marked @ every turn with spray chalk and confidence flags along the course. Follow the flags.

The course is very flat with the only hill worth mentioning is about 1/2 way through the course. You'll only remember it because it's the only one. If you are looking for a PR this is the race.. the first mile is really flat.. the 2nd is kinda flat.. and the 3rd mile is the same as the first mile just the opposite direction sooooo really flat.
Stop by and thank our sponsors on race day! Altra Running, NEWSOLE Running, Jailhouse Brewing Company, JMC HOMES, Jennifer Simmons Photography, Bohland Family& Sports Chiropractic, Advocare- Annie Randolph, Edward Jones, Crossfit locust Grove & Proactive Rehab Inc.

Jailhouse Tour Pint Glass

This year we will have 225 wristbands available. The wrist band is $13 which can be purchased when you sign up for the race. With the wrist band you will get a pint glass, tour of the brewery, entry into the after party on the patio, and 3 pours. You must present ID to be allowed inside the brewery. We expect these to sell out fast so sign up ASAP while we still have them and before the price goes up on the race.

A Friend's House

This year we are excited to announce that the race will be benefiting an incredible local charity: A Friend's House. This great local organization is dedicated to meeting the emotional and physical needs of children in crisis by providing a home for them. Services such as counseling, medical treatment, academic assistance and recreational opportunities are available for the children.
