LAST MINUTE RUNNERS!
Did you "forget" to register? HAVE NO FEAR! DO NOT PANIC! On-line registration is closed, but we will be taking WALK-UP REGISTRATION for all distances! You will not get a race shirt (please don't beg, bargain, or whine!) but you WILL get a Shaddy Hollow Trail Runners running cap. You will also be eligible for finisher awards and age-group awards. Come to packet pickup, Friday 4-6pm and Saturday 3:30am-6am, both times at start-finish location.
The start and finish will be located next to the "Prairie Picnic Shelter" (40.640779, -89.034239). The start is next to a parking lot with plenty of room. There are restrooms, a playground area, and covered pavilions. Canopies are allowed along the start/finish line. No tents allowed in this area for camping. All camping are only allowed in designated camping area.
50K (31.0 mile - 2 Laps)
The 31 mile Ultra will start at 6:30 am. Two 15.5 mile loops. Course will be well marked with reflectors and flags. Sunrise is approximately 6:35 am so headlamps or other lighting is required. Runners must start the last loop by 5:30 pm and the course closes at 10:30 pm. All finishers will receive an arrowhead medallion. Top 6 males and top 6 females receive a walking stick!
25K (15.5 miles - 1 Lap) Fun Run
The 15.5 mile fun run will start at 6:30 am. All finishers will receive an arrowhead medallion. Top overall male and female will receive a walking stick!
One of the more diverse trail ultras in Illinois. A beautiful 15.5 mile loop that consists of single track, hiking trails, and open prairie paths. You will see that we take a lot of pride in maintaining our trail system at COMLARA Park.
Shady Hollow Trail Runners
We are a 100% not-for-profit trail running club. Most of the race fees go into the event, the remainder goes to one of our charities. We are an old school, grass roots type running club and we take a lot of care to make this race, one of the best ultras in Illinois.
Packet Pickup / Late Race Registration

Friday evening (9/8/2017) from 4 pm to 6 pm and Saturday (race day) from 3:30am - 6 am at the "Prairie Picnic Shelter" (40.640779, -89.034239) which is also the Start/Finish for the race. There will be late race registration during packet pickup; you will get some SHTR schwag, but not a race shirt.
100K (62.1 miles - 4 Laps)
The 62 mile Ultra will start at 4:30 am. Four 15.5 mile loops. Course will be well marked with reflectors and flags. Sunrise is approximately 6:35 am so headlamps or other lighting is required. Runners must start the last loop by 5:30 pm and the course closes at 10:30 pm. All finishers will receive an arrowhead medallion and a BELT BUCKLE!

We also have a Facebook page, "evergreen lake ultras - race page". This page is for you, the runners. Nothing but race discussion will be allowed. Important information concerning the race from your RD Team will be located under the "Files" tab. The documents have been named so that they can be easily identified. Take some time to read those as this addition information will help the new runners at Lake Evergreen. Read down through the discussions to see what people are talking about and ask your event questions. One of the members of the RD Team with answer shortly.

Camping is allowed only in approved camping areas. All camping reservations must be made through the park. I have included two links for your review. The park's contact information is listed in the links if further assistance is needed. These links include prices and locations of the camping areas.
Three fully stocked aid stations (including the Start/Finish) will have your basic aid-station ultra food. Each Aid Station will be approximately 5 miles apart. Depending on the weather, unmanned aid stations will be added to the course to provide additional water. Gluten free will also be available.
