Mt. Hood 50

Clackamas Lake Ranger Station

Clackamas Lake, OR 50 Miler, 50K

This Event Took Place Sat. Aug 2, 2003

The Mt. Hood Races

The heavily shaded 50M course is an out and back run almost entirely on the Pacific Crest Trail. The 50K is also on the PCT but you get to run around Timothy Lake as well. The 25K* course involves the Headwaters and Old 1916 Trail before going around Timothy lake. The trail is generally soft with good footing, although there are some technical sections with rocks and roots. All races start at historic Clackamas Ranger Station.
50M - Saturday, July 11
50K - Sunday, July 12
25K* - Sunday, July 12

*For 2021, we are anticipating having reduced capacity, per our permit and state/county COVID restrictions. If this ends up being the case, we sadly won’t be able to put on the 25K. We will open 50M & 50K registration as described and will add the 25K later if allowed.

Lottery

The Mt. Hood 50 Mile race is a lottery. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. Pacific on 1/3/21 and closes at 6:00 p.m. on 1/9/21. On 1/10/20, we will randomly draw all the names, with the first 150 getting into the race. All others are put on the wait list, in the order they are drawn.

Mt Hood 50K is not a lottery, but will fill up very quickly. It opens up on Sunday 1/17/21 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific
