Outdoor Mafia Challenge
The 2020 Outdoor Mafia Challenge will take place at beautiful Crows Lake in Jefferson, GA. New this year we have added a 3 hour solo option to go along with the 6 hour and 12 hour solo events. We also have a 5 Person 12 Hour relay.
The course is a 5K trail loop around Crows Lake and the surrounding woods. The trail is approximately 6 feet wide the entire course with sections of gravel, dirt, and grass.
Prerace packet pickup will be at Runners Fit in Flowery Branch, GA www.runnersfit.com on Friday June 26 from 10 am until 6 pm. Race day packet pickup will be at Crows Lake starting at 7:00 am.
There is plenty of grassy areas to set up your team or individual tents. Solo runners will have a designated area just for their setups closest to the start/finish line. Campers are welcome on race day, but there are no power, water, or sewer hookups at the start/finish field.
3, 6, and 12 Hour Solo Events
All 3 solo events will begin at 8 am along with the 5 person 12 Hour relay teams. We will have a fully stocked aid station at the exchange zone for all runners to use. Only completed laps will count towards a runner's total distance.
12 Hour Relay - 5 Person Relay
The 5 Person 12 Hour relay begins at 8 am along with the 3, 6, and 12 Hour solo runners. Each runner must run the 5K trail loop then hand off the team bracelet at the exchange zone. Runners must stay in running order the entire relay with the exception of the last leg. Any team member may run the final leg. Only completed laps count for the final totals during the 12 Hour time period. In case of an injury, the injured runner will be skipped for the rest of the event and the remaining team members must continue to run in the same order as before.
We will have 3 different relay categories: Open (any combo of males and females), Mixed (at least 2 female), and Female (all runners female).
Food and Aid
We will have a fully stocked aid staton at the exchange point for all runners.
