We have a group campground and pavilion reserved in the gorgeous Mt Zirkel Wilderness just north of Steamboat Springs Friday through Sunday, July 7-9th, 2017. The Mount Zirkel Wilderness lies within Routt National Forest and has over 150,000 acres, 15 peaks over 12,000 feet, and 70 lakes.

As with all our events, everyone is welcome! Young, old, new, veterans, slow, fast, kids, parents, serial singles - this weekend is for you! You do not have to be an FRXC regular; if you like running and camping, or are the unfortunate significant other of someone who does, and want to spend a weekend with like-minded people in a stunning area of the Colorado backcountry then jump right in! There will be multiple group runs throughout the weekend (straight from the campground!) for all levels at a variety of distances, including the famed "Zirkel Circle." Direct quote from TripAdvisor (the final word on all things outdoor adventure): “The ‘Zirkel Circle’ is easily one of our top-five hikes (*cough* trail runs) in the United States.” #trailgoals

You may be tempted to deem this event as "glamping" since the campground has such luxuries as fire pits, grills, picnic tables, vault toilets, and potable water but, don’t worry, we will make sure you smell so terrible by the end of the weekend that no one could ever accuse you of that.

Registration fee of $25/person (no additional UltraSignup fee) secures your campsite for the weekend, participation in the dopest trail running, and some fun shwaggg. We'll have demos and giveaways from Merrell, Topo, Ultimate Direction, Tailwind and much more!
