Overview
The Weir River Trail Run is part of the Barn to Run Trail Race series and is based at Weir River Farm in Hingham, MA. This event includes running the trails on the farm's property and neighboring Whitney and Thayer Woods. Runners can choose from 3 race distances: 3.4, 6 and 9.3 miles.

Event Schedule - Sun, 9/15
7:30am: Packet pick-up and race day registration
9:00am: Start of the 6 and 9.3 mile races
9:15am (est.): Start of the 3.4 mile race.
10:15am (est): Award ceremony and random prize giveaways for the 3.4 mile race

Course Description
All three runs cover farm property trails and the trails of Whitney and Thayer Woods. These runs include some single track sections that can be technical in parts (exposed roots and rocks), but mainly consists of wider trails characterized by hard packed dirt, pine needles, leaves, etc. with some patches of loose gravel. The two longer distance include running a short section of the Whitney Spur Rail Trail. Sights along the way include a view of Boston from atop Turkey Hill, Bigelow Boulder, Ode's Den and farm livestock. There is 400' of elevation gain with the biggest hill coming towards the end of the run.
The Barn to Run Season Pass
Each event in the Barn to Run Trail Race Series has multiple race distances to choose from and runners have the opportunity to purchase a Short, Middle or Long Distance Season Pass. Each Season Pass receives a discount on registration fees and a custom goodie bag valued at more than $60 that includes (1) a Marathon Physical Therapy drawstring bag, (2) Marathon Physical Therapy $20 gift card, (3) $10 worth of Clif product, (4) a coupon for one dozen Pete & Gerry's organic eggs, (5) a can of Loco Coffee and (6) choice of a Barn to Run Trucker Hat OR Barn to Run Hoo-Rag. * The LONG distance Season Pass includes the longest distance race at each event (Weir River Farm: 9.3mi; Powisset Farm: 8.3mi; Adam's Farm: 7.8mi)
* The MID distance Season Pass includes the middle distance race at each event (Weir River Farm: 6mi, Powisset Farm: 5.6mi; Adams Farm: 6mi)
* The SHORT distance Season Pass includes the shortest distance race at each event (Weir River Farm: 3.4mi; Powisset Farm: 3.1mi; Adams Farm: 3.4)

About the Barn to Run Series
Produced by Sun Multisport Events, the Barn to Run Trail Race Series is New England's only farm-based trail race series featuring a collection of farm-based trail races that connects you to awesome trails and local farms while offering a terrific race experience to you and spectators. Each event in the series features multiple race distances to choose from, includes running past farm fields and through forest trails while providing an opportunity to learn about and support farm programs & initiatives. A portion of the proceeds from each event will be donated back to the host farm.
