Cirque du Griffith Park

Los Angeles is primed for a fabulous timed running event and Trail Run Events is pleased to bring it! Join us at Crystal Springs Picnic Area for 6 hours or 12 hours of running on the jogging path around the beautiful Harding Golf Course. Located in historic Griffith Park, you can run to your heart's content while the family takes in the sights of Hollywood or just enjoy the many attractions inside the park.

How far can you run, jog or walk in six or twelve hours? You keep going and going and we will calculate your mileage for you. Timed ultra marathon races are super fun because you always have someone to run with and with a flat course and support every 2.5 miles, the miles will add up!

    Start Times

    12-Hour Individual starts at 7:00am

    12-Hour Relay starts at 7:00am

    6-Hour Individual has a relaxed starting time; can start anytime up to 1:00pm

    Registration Info

  • Pre-registration is online only. We do not accept mail-in registration.
  • 12 Hour race day registration is available until 15 minutes before the event start time.
  • 6 Hour race day registration is flexible between the course of 7:00am and 1:00pm.
  • Shirts and shirt sizes are not guaranteed for runners who register after May 15.
  • Race management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, for any reason.
  • Runners must be at least 18 y/o to run the race.
  • Online registration will generate an email to you. Please check your SPAM folder if your email does not arrive.

    **Due to the cost of permit fees, we will not be able to issue comp entries for this event.

    Run For The Dawg Squad

    The Dawg Squad is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation established according to California laws for public benefit. They provide medical attention, training, rehabilitation, loving foster and permanent homes for at-risk animals who are homeless or have been abandoned and are in need of medical care. The have proudly rescued and placed over 1,800 animals in loving homes!

    LAST MINUTE NOTES - June 16, 2018

    Cirque is not really a “race” but more of a “happening” however we expect many of you to run a PR and we will do everything possible to help you get it. That said, you are only “racing” again the clock; How many miles can you run, walk or crawl in your chosen time limit? You do the running and we do the math.

    Here are a few more notes to help you out!

    ~ The park will open at 5:00am. Please enter the park from the Los Feliz Blvd. entrance only.
    ~ Bib Pickup and Event Day Registration begins at 5:30am.
    ~ The 12-hour Event begins at 7:00am.
    ~ The 6-Hour has a flexible start time; you may begin anytime up until 1:00pm. Please check in with the Timer before beginning your Event.
    ~ Runners who dress up in Circus theme characters will receive a special gift from A Runner’s Circle Los Feliz.
    ~ Credit will be given only for laps completed. If a runner does not complete a lap before the clock expires, no credit will be given for partial laps.
    ~ Aid Station every 2.5 miles serving sweet and salty ultra snack food plus water, ice, frozen pops, muffins, cheese quesadilla, PNB Sammies, boiled salted potatoes, Coke, Pickle Juice, bagels, cream cheese, fruit, ginger, RX Bars, Saltines with Nutella.
    ~ If you require vegan, gluten free or anything out of the ordinary, please bring your own.
    ~ We will serve diluted Gatorade so if this doesn’t suit you, please bring your own drink.
    ~ The event will not distribute electrolytes or medications.
    ~ There will be one medical station at base camp staffed by an LVN.
    ~ We will have foot tape for hot spots.
    ~ You may set up your own little rest spot on the grass. Please be sure your gear does not have “branding” or the park will charge you $250.
    ~ The 2.5 mile path is open to public use on event day. You may encounter other runners or walkers and even an occasional horse.
    ~ This is a “no smoking” event and BBQs are okay but no open fires please.
    ~ Please invite your friends and family to enjoy the picnic area while you are doing your thing!

    If you are unable to run for any reason, please remember that your entry fee is non-refundable, non-deferrable to another event and may not be transferred to another runner.
