Intro
Yeah, yeah we know you can run 100 miles. You can run it through the hills of the highest mountains and through the heat of the sun in the desert valleys but, can you run it in the heart of winter? Through inches or feet of snow? Are you ready to unleash the beast inside of you and run 100 miles on the frigid historic Erie Canal Towpath?
Description
This Ultra is not for the faint of heart! Athletes will start at Wide Water’s Marina where they will have access to restrooms and a warming shelter. They will leave the marina and run along a paved trail for approximately 1 mile where they will cross one of Lockport's historic draw bridges and continue running on the towpath until they've reached the turn around 11.5 miles later. There will be a check point and aid station. Athlete’s are encouraged to carry as much supply as they can. Remember, there are roughly 5-6 miles between aid stations.
