IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATES
UPDATE: May 10, 2020
We are continuing to closely monitor the pandemic and keep a close eye on potential impacts to Chase the Moon. If restrictions continue to be gradually lifted and we can resume smaller race events by July, then our plan is to stick with our original race date of July 31, and our permit holders are optimistic we can make that happen. However, if we get to early/mid June and things are not looking good, then we will look at alternative options, including cancellation, postponement to August, or possibly shifting to a virtual race.
In the meantime, registration is still open so runners can sign up for the wait list, however your credit card will not be charged until we are in the clear to hold the event. (Once we are 100% good to race, you will be contacted to confirm and charge your card at that time, and make your registration official.) This way you can secure your spot in the race, and will be given first priority. The field may be limited to 400 runners total between the solo & relay teams, so I would recommend taking advantage of this option to reserve your spot. Those runners who have already signed up and paid for their registration for the planned July 31 date, you're good to go for now.
Please stay engaged with us through our Facebook page, and we’ll continue to post updates as we receive any new information. Stay healthy and smart with your training as the weather continues to warm up and the days get longer... Get those nighttime runs in and we'll see you all soon!

Chase The Moon
Chase the Moon is a 12-hour team relay and solo ultramarathon, run overnight under the light of the full moon in the Highlands Ranch Backcountry trail system (we promise some of the best views of the metro and front range). Run as a solo ultrarunner, or get your fellow moon chasing friends for a 3-person or 5-person relay team.
Chase the Moon begins at 7 p.m. on Friday during a beautiful Rocky Mountain sunset, continues through the night beneath the illumination of the full moon, and finishes at 7 a.m. on Saturday as the sun rises in the east to paint the foothills with alpenglow. Don’t miss this unique and incredible running experience. Proceeds of the race benefit the open spaces and trails of Highlands Ranch, ProjectPurple.org, and Conifer's StageDoor Theatre. Voted Best Race Shirt in Competitor Magazine’s “Best Of” runner poll, 2014-2016.
