Come Run at The Coleman Retreat!

SOLD OUT!!!!!!

Can you believe this is the 5th year!? We get to do it again! Welcome to the 5th RETREAT REPEAT!
Start the New Year off right at the Retreat Repeat 8 hour run! Come out to the Coleman Retreat in the middle of the Francis Marion National Forest and put some miles in on an approximately 1.8 mile looped course. The course will circle the property and consist of open fields and hardwoods. Run as many or as few miles/laps as you want to in 8 hours.
This event has been created by Runners for Runners! Our goal is to have fun and provide a space for an Runner family reunion of sorts. If you are a new runner, this is still an awesome event for you! The ultra/trail running community is one of the best. Come join our tribe! This is a great opportunity to put in a final long run before some of the local 24 hr or 100 mile events coming up or a great chance to set a distance PR if you have not dabbled a lot in long distance/timed running. Run fast or run slow, just don’t miss out on the party at the Retreat.

Cost

It’s stupid cheap. $30. We are charging only to cover the necessities and some swag! This covers a shirt, Porta Johns, race insurance, burger after party, use of the property, and a timing company. I am a runner and this is a labor of love. NOTHING goes into my pocket, seriously. This is about the awesome trail and ultra community and having a chance to run and hang out together.

Young Runners

Runners age 13 and under run for free with a registered parent! If you would like a shirt for your young runner please check the Kid Registration box.

Timing

This event will be chip timed. Only full laps will count and all laps must be complete before the clock hits 8 hours. Grounded Running Beaufort is once again our timing professionals!

Food

This was awesome last 2 years! Every runner must bring an item to place on the aid station table. The request this year is for individually wrapped items to ensure our health and safety. Examples: Wrapped cookies, mini bags of chips, mini cans of soda, mini candy bars. Best aid station I've ever seen. If you want pickles, bring pickles. Pringles, bring Pringles to share. ETC. Bring something that makes you and others happy!
I will provide water, electrolyte drink, bacon and grilled cheese, burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs. I feel it is safe to still provide cooked burgers and hot dogs. The food goes from the grill (gloved cooked) to the plate that you are holding.

CAMPING!

There is now camping allowed on the property Friday night starting at 5pm. Put up your tent and enjoy some time by the fire before racing the next day. Small campers can be accommodated but will not have any hook ups.

After Party

At the conclusion of the race there will be burgers and a bonfire. Food will be available for everyone at the after party. If more than just the runner intends to eat please let me know how many (in addition to the runner) will eat.

Sorry, no refunds or deferrals
