Registration for this event has been paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with recent Vermont state directives, no new nonessential hospitality bookings may be issued. Until those and other state and local restrictions are lifted registrations will remain paused. Once they reopen, everyone who signs up during this time will get an email to confirm your entry and payment, and at that point if you accept your card will be charged.

Welcome to the NEW Nor'witch Halloween 100K! Choose from ALL-TRAIL 100K, 50K & 25K options at this hair-raising ultra spooktacular in Southern Vermont's Taconic Mountains. Softshell jackets for runners in all distances, pro photography with free downloads, unique finisher awards and leather belts for 100K finishers. Tons of candy and treats at the aid stations, and a nonstop Halloween party with fun family-friendly activities!
Oh yeah, and HUGE cash prizes! Total prize purse of $2,200 in the 100K (including a cash prize for best costume)!!!
Registration is capped at 150 total runners.
The course is a 25-km trail loop through the backcountry hardwood forests of the Northern Taconic Mountains in Rupert, Vermont. The loop starts and ends on the working Merck Farm, and climbs and descends Mount Antone and The Gallop, the two highpoints in the area. Runners will be treated to plenty of elevation change on this mountainous course. 100K runners will complete the loop four times, and 50K runners twice.
Late foliage, early snow, and unseasonable warm weather are all possible! It might be cold, wet, and/or windy, especially at night! There will be heated cabins along the course and a heated area at the start/finish to warm up!

The Nor'witch Halloween 100K will be photographed by renowned sports photographer Joe Viger. All runners will receive free downloads of all photos! High res downloads and prints will be available to purchase - please support your race photographer!
All entrants in all distances get a softshell jacket! Sign up by September 30, 2020 to guarantee your jacket size!!
100K finishers earn a leather belt. 25K and 50K finishers earn unique finishers medals.
Custom awards for top three female and male finishers of each distance.
Frequent fully-stocked aid stations with scary good snacks throughout the course. Expect hot cider, soda, electrolyte drinks, standard salty and sweet snacks, gels, hot food, local treats, and yes, plenty of candy! Heated cabins/warming areas will be available on the course and at the start/finish.
Cash prizes
With a total of $2,200 in cash prizes available at the 2020 Nor'witch, things could get interesting!! Cash prizes will be awarded six deep in the 100K in both genders, with bonuses for elite times:
1st place: $175
2nd place: $150
3rd place: $125
4th place: $100
5th place: $75
6th place: $50
$100 bonus awarded if the male winner goes under 10 hours, and/or the female winner goes under 11 hours
$225 bonus if the male winner goes under 9 hours, and/or the female winner goes under 10 hours
AND a $200 prize for best costume!!! (all distances eligible)
