A Lovely Time To Be In The Mountains...

Pajarito Trail Fest brings 10k and 25k trail races around Pajarito Mountain and surrounding trails in Santa Fe National Forest, through mixed conifer, aspen forests and mountain meadows at elevations between 9000-10,400ft. The 10k race is a loop around the north-east facing side of Pajarito Mountain, with a challenging ascent followed by a technical but beautiful descent back to the ski lodge. The 25k course follows the 10k course around Pajarito, but breaks off to complete an out-and-back section on the Canada Bonita trail, before heading back to the ski lodge.

Early October in the Jemez Mountains can bring any of the seasons, and any weather... please plan accordingly and bring the gear and clothing that you might need! Years past the race has been held in sunny 70 degrees, a hail shower, and fresh snow- anything can happen!

In an effort to limit the waste that we contribute, this race is CUPLESS, as in bring your own means of drinking. We will have water and an electrolyte drink available at the start/finish and aid stations, but bring your own cup, flask, bottle, vest with a bladder, etc.

We are interested in giving back to organizations who help make the Jemez mountains special and share their love of mountains with community. A portion of race funds will be donated to Southwest Nordic Ski Club for their stewardship and maintenance of these trails, and Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) for spreading knowledge and love for our beautiful environment.

Refund Policy

Pajarito Trail Fest entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. This is a non-profit event and a part of entry fees will be donated to local non-profit organizations.
