Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a fun run on the Greenbelt and along the Boise River at Merrill Park in Eagle. The fun kicks off at 3 PM. There are 2 ways to join in the fun.

Cinco de Mayo Cinco Mile-O: 3:30 PM

The 5 mile run / walk is open to all ages and is an out and back course starting in Merrill Park, winding through the River District, and trekking a couple of miles over the mostly dirt path section of the Greenbelt. The course is flat and fast, offering views of the Boise River for most of the run. Top 3 overall mens and womens finishers awards await at the finish line, and race t-shirts for all participants as well as delicious Mexican eats provided by Bar de Nay in Eagle.

Chile Pepper Chase: 3 PM

The kids one mile run is open to younger runners, ages 12 and under. Chile Pepper Chasers race out of Merrill Park and over to the River District before turning around and coming back to a pinata party at the finish line. Also at the finish line are chile pepper medals for the chasers as well as race t-shirts, and Mexican goodies provided by Bar de Nay in Eagle.
