Start your holiday weekend off with a bang...join us for
Whatcom County's only 4th of July race!!!
Bring the little ones out for a Free Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run,
jump in the 5K and then stay for a family-friendly picnic. Don't forget to
bring a lawn chair or a blanket so you can enjoy hot dogs, veggie burgers, chip, soda/water, sweet treats and more.
Be sure to stick around for the raffle prizes and awards ceremony while you get
to know your fellow runners.

9:30 5K around Lake Padden
10:00 Post Race Picnic, Raffle and Awards Ceremony
Registration: The 5K will be $20.00 through June 27th at
midnight and
$25.00 from June 28th through July 2nd at midnight. There will be race-day registration for
$25.00 at Lake Padden from 8:00-9:00 am on the Fourth of July. The Kids 1/2
Mile Fun is free for those 8 and under and you can register your kids on
race-day from 8:00 to 8:45 am.
Packet Pick Up: All packets for 5k runners/walkers can be
picked up on race morning from 8:00 to 9:00 am. Course maps and race
information will be available at the registration tent.
Course: The 5k will start near the Dog Park and proceed north onto the Lake Padden Loop Trail. 5K runners will run counter clockwise around the lake(completing 1 full loop) and finish near the Rotary Picnic Shelter/Basketball Courts. The course will be marked with arrows and mile markers. There will be a 4th of July Spirit Station at the 1/2 way point with water, goodies and giveaways. Bathrooms are available near the start, finish and at the Beach Area around the 1/2 way point.
