Jake's Memorial Fun Run

Please join us for this special event on Saturday, July 20, 2013, as we celebrate Jake's memory. Enjoy time with your family and community with a Fun Run, Bounce House, Raffle items, Music and Food--it will be your Best Day Ever!
100% of proceeds will go to the Jacob R Arntson Memorial Fund.
The Arntson family is using this Memorial Fund to renovate the baseball field at Jake's School, Oregon Trail Elementary as well as a new scholarship fund at Clackamas High School named The Jake Arntson “Teammate of the Year” Scholarship. "In the spirit of Jake, we want to make “the best day” for a CHS senior. Each year, a senior athlete from Clackamas High School who demonstrates the qualities of the best teammate for showing kindness, enthusiasm, and selflessness will receive the scholarship."
Course Description
The kids run for those 6 and under will be a quick jaunt around the track 1 or 2 times at parental discretion.
The Fun Run is a 1.25 mile paved loop around the perimeter of Clackams High School. The race will start by the track and end on the baseball field as you race down the 3rd baseline and cross home plate!
"Fun Run" Day Schedule
8:30-9:15 Bib pick up (for kids 10 and under)
9:30am Kids Track Run
10:00am Fun Run Start
We will also have an "activity" area for the kids on the football field following their run. As they cross their "finish line" on the track, they will be directed to the activity area in the center. Parents are welcome to join their kids there. Looking forward to a great time!
Awards
Because this will be a non-timed Fun Run, there will be no race awards. However, all children (with a race bib) will receive a commemorative gift.
Raffle
We will also have a raffle with great prizes! Your paid entry automatically gets you a raffle ticket. There will be additional tickets available for purchase. Raffle will be started at the end of the Fun Run. Must be present to win.
Shirts
You may be wondering, "Do we get a shirt with registration?". Sorry, not this year as we were limited on time. Instead, we'd like to encourage everyone to wear your "Jake 9" shirt you already have.
Don't have one yet? No problem!! You can easily get one from LogoXing in Clackamas. The good news is: the proceeds from the sale of the shirts also go to Jake's Memorial Fund!
