Event Overview
Start and finish inside Columbia County's Wildwood Park which also offers camping, boat launch facilities into Clarks Hill Lake and a highly regarded Disc Golf course.
Trail Races
Four different distances will be offered on Sunday with the 50km and marathoners starting at 7:00am and the half marathoners and 10km runners following at 7:15am.
All races will start inside the park on internal two track service roads before joining the single Bartram Trail, most of which runs along the shoreline of Lake Thurmond, the largest manmade reservoir east of the Mississippi. There is very little total gain over the entire course which is mostly shaded and rolling through the pine forests surrounding the lake. The trails are extremely well marked with permanent markers every half mile. Fully stocked aid stations will be no further than 4.5 miles apart.
All athletes will receive a race shirt, finisher's award and an athlete meal.
Registration
Packet pick-up for the swim and trail races will be held at Fleet Feet Sports/229 Furys Ferry Road on Friday, May 1, from 4-7pm. There will be NO race day registration for swim or run - only packet pick-up. All athletes are requited to sign a liability waiver.
