Hi Super Runners!

For the fourth straight year the great Brush Tunnel Marathon and Half Marathon starts the fun at the fifth annual Altis Endurance Mid-Atlantic Marathon and Half Marathon Series events. I can't wait to see old friends and make new ones! Note that there is no Tuesday night packet pickup.

Race Start/Finish and Parking Location: near 11407 CashValley Road NW Cumberland, MD 21502 at the GAP Trailhead parking lot right by the trail and railroad tracks

Packet Pickup: starts at 6:45 at the start/finish

Race Start Time: 7:30 - please be at the start line at 7:25 for pre-race instructions

Parking: Please park in the GAP Trailhead parking area on the east side of Cash Valley Road. This is a small parking area. Please drive into the parking lot as far as you can and park perpendicular to use as little space as possible. If you can car pool to the race that is even better! There is no exact address for the parking lot, it is near 11407 Cash Valley Road NW Cumberland, MD. Parking on the grass is fine, but please don’t park on the cemetery property next to the trail.

Food/Drink: Gatorade - probably blue – pb&j, ice, cookies, chips, sodas, probably chocolates and water at the lone aid station that halfers pass nine times and marathoners pass 19 times. There will be chocolate milk in the cooler for recovery. If you want ice in your water bottle or ice in your soda just ask. The race will not have any gels or electrolytes.

Miscellaneous: There will be two port-o-lets that runners will pass every 2.6 mile loop. Runners are welcome to leave a drop bag at the aid station or at their car. Runners entered in more than one Series race will pickup all their race bibs at Brush Tunnel packet pickup. As I write this there are 19 entrants in the marathon and 7 in the half. Once again, please park perpendicular to maximize the available parking, and may you enjoy the scenery of the Great Allegheny Passage!

See you soon! Mike; events@altisendurance.com
