Presented by Team Spark

The Freetown Trail Race course is one of the most technical in New England. While this type of course attracts the most elite runners, we built it for everyone to challenge themselves as well as their fellow racers. Team work is encouraged. We designed the 17.5 mile loop to offer technical singletrack as well as fire roads. This year you'll get to (yes, "get to") climb the famed "Fire Tower" which for years has been overgrown. You get to do it right after you climb "Hold On Loosely," yay! We have three well stocked feed zones per lap and at least one self-serve water point.

We want you to see Freetown in all of its gnarly awesomeness and we want to challenge you. When you eventually collect yourself and head home you'll know that you accomplished something.

Last year we offered this as a 50k but everyone agreed that one lap is plenty, so this year it shall be. Don't worry; it's plenty long enough.

On Course Support

You are expected to carry everything that you'll need to complete this event unsupported. However, we do support you! If you have specific wants and needs you set up your own gear spot at the start/finish so that you may fuel up before the start of Lap 2. You can also bring your own bag before 8:30am and we can deliver it to the Gu/HotShot Feed Zone.

Our Gu/HotShot Feed Zone is two sided and located at roughly mile 8 and mile 14 of the loop. It will be manned by Danielle from Gu, Lillian from HotShot, and several Team Spark members. The Gu/HotShot Feed Zone will have:

Water
Gu Roctane Hydration Mix
Gu Energy Gel
HotShot Anti-Cramping Sports Beverage
