Ouachita Switchbacks

The Ouachita Switchbacks 50K/25K is Oklahoma's toughest and most beautiful ultra. The race is January 13th, beginning at 8 am. Early start is available. The course is extremely technical with considerable elevation change. The Ouachita Mountains are certainly not what most people think of when they think of Oklahoma. Race start and finish is in a remote location with no facilities. The 10 mile race will also begin at 8 am and will also be an out and back going to the beautiful rock glacier formation before turning around. For more details on course description, directions to the start and other questions, please visit the ouachitaswitchbacks.com or e-mail the race director. Lots of swag including hoodies, finishers mugs, finisher hats for the 50K, bumper stickers, handcrafted race awards and great camaraderie and post race party.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY - THE RACE WILL BE POSTPONED FOR THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY ONLY IF ROAD CONDITIONS MAKE IT DANGEROUS TO TRAVEL TO THE RACE SITE. NO REFUNDS IF THIS HAPPENS. This is very rare this far south but could happen. 2019 race was the rare exception as there was a blizzard at the beginning of the race but we still held the 25K
