50 K and 100 K INFORMATION BELOW

50 K and 100 K Course

This year will again feature both a 50K and a 100 K competition. A 50 K loop will travel through 3 towns (100 K runners do 2 laps.)
The 50 and 100 kilometer trail run will travel over some of the same, although not identical, trails that have become so popular for the endurance mountain bike event. There will be significant sections reserved solely for the trail runners. The trails will wind through the beautiful, varied, and frequently challenging terrain of Southern New Hampshire.

50 K and 100 K Race Cutoff

There will be a strict 14 hour cutoff for completion of the 100 K. (We may eek out a 10-15 minute earlier start again this year, {hence a 5:30 AM start, or nearly so) if a hint of daylight shines upon us. These precious minutes, if any, will extend the 14 hour completion time. )The varied terrain of this course may be exhilarating, but it will present a significant challenge to some to make it to the finish in the allotted time. If interim cutoff times at each aid station are not met, you will be escorted back to the venue by SAG wagon. No exceptions. This is for the safety of all---competitors and volunteers alike.

50 K competitors will be subject to interim cutoff times, albeit at a much more lenient pace. Detailed cutoff times will be published in the participant guide.
While no pacers or mules are allowed, the event usually provides several neutral, volunteer companion runners to lift the spirits of those near the end of the day as they leave from the last aid station. This will help those last few on course get to the finish line.

50 K and 100 K Course Restrictions

Please note that the course crosses many private landowner areas, and these areas are NOT open for pre-running. Doing so will jeopardize future editions of the event. We take seriously the privacy rights of our generous landowners, and expect all participants to do likewise. Several public access trails that are available for sampling will be published for consideration prior to event day.

50 K and 100 K Event Logistics

Registration fee includes entry, aid stations with food and fluids, SAG wagon support, post-race meal, complimentary campsite at the start/finish venue (no hookups, but within sight of the start/finish line), showers, participant souvenirs, festivities, and awards to top finishers. Please note that the complimentary camping is only for Saturday night. No Friday or Sunday camping allowed at venue.

If a racer does not wish to take advantage of the complimentary Saturday evening rough camping at the venue, more traditional overnight lodging, for a fee, may be found in the area. Helpful links include the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, Visit NH, and Greenfield State Park.

For participants planning any necessary air travel to the event, we recommend Manchester-Boston Regional Airport as one convenient alternative, located approximately 35 miles from the venue.

Racers will be responsible for the information in the Runners Participant Guide. This document will be updated, as needed, throughout the pre-event period. The final version of the document will also be available at the venue.

50 K and 100 K Mandatory Check-In

All racers are generally expected to pick up their racer packet on Saturday, the day before the race, between the hours of 2 – 9 PM, at the start/finish venue at Oak Park. There may be an opportunity for Sunday morning pick-up for those that cannot get to the venue on Saturday without undue hardship. This is packet pick-up only. No new registrations will be allowed on Sunday morning. Participants must pick up their own packets. Photo ID is required. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must also be present.

50 K and 100 K Fees

Registration fee includes entry, aid stations with food and fluids, SAG wagon support, pre-race breakfast food, post-race barbeque, complimentary campsite Saturday night at the start/finish venue (no RV hook-ups, but within sight of the start/finish line), and participant souvenirs.
