Description
First Annual Boot Camp Triathlon starts at 8 am on August 24, 2013 at Camp LRCA between Crown Point and Valparaiso, Indiana.
The race is a .33 mile lake swim, a 12.5-mile bike and a 3.1 mile cross-country run. The swim and run take place at the base camp; the bike course winds though scenic LakeCounty, including Stony Run County Park. The triathlon includes male and female divisions for ages 12 and up, as well as team categories. (Note: the bike course has been altered; please review the map for changes).
Sponsors include Duneland 28 / Old Route 30 LLC of Valparaiso, a locally owned composting and solid fill site serving residential, commercial and industrial clients throughout NW IN and the Chicagoland area.
