24 The Hard Way

11301 N Meridian Ave

Oklahoma City, OK 24hrs, 12hrs, 6hrs

This Event Took Place Sat. Oct 16, 2010

Welcome 2022 Athletes!

The Events:

24 The Hard Way & The Double Dirty Dozen were first held in 2009. In its brief history the event has served as the Oklahoma Ultra Running Championships as well as the 2013 24 Hour National Championships.

All Events are held at Bluff Creek Park in Oklahoma City, OK, Located at Meridian & Hefner Boulevards.

Athletes have their choice of a 24, 12 or 6-hour race on either a relatively flat asphalt trail or on a technical trail with dirt, rocks, roots, tree branches and depending on the weather, maybe a little mud. Each measured trail distance will be multiplied by the total number of laps a runner completes to give total mileage, for that event. Exact mileage varies on the off road course, but the certified distance on the pavement is .96 miles.

The format of the 2022 event will be the same as the 2020 event. Due to ongoing public health concerns related to COVID-19, we will once again adopt significant changes to the event and have adjusted the event fees to reflect a lower level of service.

Please see the event changes in the WAIVER section as you register. (or visit the event FB page to read them before registering).

We hope to return to the normal format in 2023!!
