Tour De Wolf Trails – Shelby Farms Park

Kick off the Cobra Den Trail Series with the Cape 5K & 10K on the beautiful Tour De Wolf Trails inside Shelby Farms Park. This race features winding dirt singletrack, grassy trails, scenic lake views, tall trees, and fast runnable terrain with a few hills sprinkled throughout the course.
Whether you’re brand new to trail running or an experienced runner looking for a fun summer race, Cape is designed to be an exciting morning on the trails with an awesome community atmosphere from start to finish.

The 5K course will hit the water station once, while the 10K runners will pass it twice. This is a cupless race, so please bring your own handheld bottle, flask, or reusable cup.
Road shoes are perfectly fine if the trails are dry.
-Packet Pickup
Friday before the race from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Start/Finish line at the Tour De Wolf Pavilion.
Race morning packet pickup will reopen from 6:00–6:45 AM before the 7:00 AM start.
You are also welcome to bring your own drinks and food and leave them at the pavilion during the race.

Parking
Parking will be inside Shelby Farms Park next to the Discovery Playground and bathrooms.
The Tour De Wolf Pavilion/start-finish area is located just down the hill from the parking area.

10k course
Age Restrictions
the 5k and 10k are open to ages 5 and above with parent / guardian signature. It's recommended that a parent, guardian or friend run with a child ages 5-10.
Refund
There are no refunds in each race or series of the Cobra Den Trail Races. Money has already been spent reserving the park trails, parking, porta pottys, food, etc.
There are no roll-over credits to another race.
We do not mail shirts not picked up at packet pickup or the race. All shirts not picked up will be donated.

Weather
The race will be held in the summer months and Memphis is very hot and humid. Each race will start at 7am. Caution is required when running these races. Memphis also experiences summertime storms and these can be short-lived or very damaging. The RD has the right to postpone or cancel the race due to weather. We will do everything we can to get the race in at 7 am but safety of runners are our #1 priority.

Breakaway Running Store - located on Germantown Parkway is very close to the trails.
Things to do: Visit Shelby Farms Park. The trails that the Mamba race and Cobra Den Trail Series are ran on are part of Shelby Farms Park. The park is huge covering 4,500 acres and is one of the largest urban parks in the country. There are over 40 miles of trails both paved and unpaved and over 20 lakes. The park is also home to a herd of buffalo that you can see while walking the trails. www.shelbyfarmspark.org is the website so check out all there is to do here.
The trails are open to the public during the day so not only will you see runners but you'll see people walking the trails or riding their bike.
