Description

This is an exciting 3 person TEAM EVENT (not a relay) in which ALL competitors are engaged at once! Once your team starts on station #1, there is no turning back from the fast paced eight station gauntlet pipeline! We are proud to say proceeds from MountainFIT Throwdown will be donated to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Search & Rescue Fund.

Registration Clarification

Just ONE of your THREE person team members will register now and pay the full team amount of $200. This person will be the team captain and create your unique team name. The team captain shall enter the names and email addresses of the other two team members. These two team members will then each receive a registration email link to the team management screen, asking them to complete the waiver and list their shirt size.
***Make sure you check your spam folder if you don't receive the email. Contact info@ultrasignup.com if needed.

About the event

Unleashing a new experience in strength, stamina, and plain ole' grit. We do it outdoors in the mountains. We love good competition, and we call it MountainFIT Throwdown!
EIGHT great exercise categories to test and evaluate strength and endurance as the fast paced competition wears on. Each station is designed for ALL team members to be doing the exercise at once as counters/scorers look on to compile results. For example, there are three pullup bars, three tires to flip, three logs to squat, and so on. Stations that use objects such as logs, rocks, tires, and plyometric box hops, will have a HEAVY, MID, and LIGHTER weight object while box hops have one 12", one 18", and one 24" box. This allows for each team to be comprised of varying genders, age, and FIT experience. This is not just for elite athletes, but WILL and STRESS test everyone!
Competition at each station (minus the run) will be for ONE MINUTE. A TWO MINUTE transition and prep time to the next station is all that is allowed. Stations as listed:
1. Pullups
2. Burpees
3. Tire Flips
4. Uphill weighted Rope Pull (as a team, all at once)
5. Plyometric Box Hops
6. Overhead Rock Press
7. Log Squat
8. ONE Mile Mountain Run/Hike/Crawl...
