Last Minute Update
The Race Director is feeling better and is working on the course... and he's extended the registration deadline until Wednesday, Nov 29 at midnight.
Description and Details
The 4th running of the Trail Mix-up will be held on Sunday, December 3 at Alley Pond Park starting at 9:15 AM. This event will be the final stage of the New York Ultra Running (NYUR) Grand Prix Series and could determine the GP winners for 2017. You can enter by mail or on this page through Ultra Signup (with no added fee). The event will be two races in one: a 30-kilometer and a 50-kilometer but NOT separate. There only will be one start, and if you do go on to 50K, you still will be recorded with an official time and place for 30K. You DO NOT have to declare what distance (30K or 50K) you are running.
Local time: 8:02 AM
If you ran the event last year, there have been a few changes. The Start & Finish will be by the Alley Fieldhouse near Winchester Blvd. The course has also slightly changed. The loop is a 4.15 mile circuit on a combination of trails (35%) and paved park paths (65%). Note: the 1st loop (only) will include an added distance to round out the full Kilometer distances.
All entries by November 22 will receive a long sleeve race shirt and a BUS ski cap. Finisher awards will be presented for either the 30K or 50K.
A full Information Sheet and manual Entry Form can be downloaded on the NYUR Site. If you register on-line on Ultra Signup select the 50K race, but you can change your mind when you finish the 1st six loops.
Please assist with race planning by entering as soon as you can. Thanks.
