This Event Took Place Sat. May 20, 2017

Description

Space is limited. Only 14 spots are available for this event.

Join us April 20th and 21st for two days of trail running fun and camaraderie as we train on for the No Business 100. We'll be staying one night at the Charit Creek Lodge in the rustic backcountry of Big South Fork NRRA. This will be the first training run planned to acquaint runners with sections of the No Business Hundred course. These training runs will help runners become familiar with navigating the course and technicality of the trails.

You do NOT need to be a NB100 Entrant to participate in the training runs or even reserve lodging.

Schedule

All times are Eastern Standard Time

Day 1 – Saturday, April 20
9:00am-10:50am: Runner Check-In @ Charit Creek Lodge
11:00am: Day 1 Training Run (Route TBD)
7:00pm: Dinner @ Charit Creek Lodge

Day 2 – Sunday, April 21
7:30am-8:30pm: Breakfast @ Charit Creek Lodge
9:00am: Day 2 Training Run (Route TBD)

Each training run will be somewhere between 16-22 miles. We will be running the trails not walking/hiking. All paces are welcome and we will make sure the group does not get too spread out and separated. That being said, the trails will not be marked with our planned routes.

Meals/Menu

Two meals (Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast) are included with your registration and will be prepared and served by Charit Creek Lodge.

There is also a snack and beverage bar on-site with items for purchase as well as a snack lunch ($10), beer, and wine avilable for purchase. Remember to bring cash or check for any on-site purchases.

*There is no planned meal after our Sunday run so be sure to plan accordingly. You'll likely be hungry after a long day on the trails.

*Vegetarian meals are available. They are determined by what is on hand or in season. To order a vegetarian meal (includes eggs), specify in the notes during the registration process. Unfortunately, Charit cannot accommodate for all diets. All meals are prepared and served family style.

Be Prepared

The lodge is completely off the grid! That means there is no electricity!!! There is also very limited cellular reception at the lodge. Each cabin is equipped with lanterns and a wood burning stove. Comfortable beds and linens are provided. Restroom and shower facilities are available for all guests. Please bring your own towel and soap ($5 towel rental now available), due to the remoteness there are no laundry facilities on-site. You can also purchase bundles of fire wood for $6.

The hike is 1.1 miles to the lodge. It is moderate to difficult depending on your fitness, due to the elevation climb on your way out. The lodge is located on the valley floor, while the trailhead/parking lot is on the ridge top. You will encounter one set of steep ladder type steps and a swinging bridge over Station Camp Creek.

Notice

These training runs are not officially sanctioned events by the Big South Fork NRRA, Ultranaut Running, the No Business 100, Charit Creek Lodge, or any other land owner. All costs are to cover lodging and meals and go directly to Charit Creek Lodge. We are not profiting from any of the training runs. Simply put, this is fun group run.
