Ultra Ladies Getaway

Welcome to the Ultra Ladies Getaway! Ultra Ladies is the #1 resource for "All Things Ultra... All Things Ladies"! We have selected a very special venue for this getaway high in the Angeles National Forest; the home of Southern California Ultra Running!

Description

This is a "Getaway" you don't want to miss. Completely immerse yourself in a weekend of Ultra Ladies camaraderie and Ultra-Mamma wisdom in this beautiful natural setting. Experience camping and hiking in the pine mountains of the Angeles Forest from our Campsites at Chilao. Chilao is the 53-mile checkpoint of the Angeles Crest 100-Mile Endurance Run. Enjoy meals prepared by your outdoor chefs while you are taking a hike with your friends or relaxing in a yoga class. The highlight of the weekend will be a night hike/run where you will have the opportunity to learn tricks of the trade for night running.

Who is invited?

The Getaway is open to all Ultra Ladies, Ultra Ladies'Men and their significant others. You may also invite friends who enjoy the trails but please be aware, this is an adults only event. Prices are per person and space is limited so sign up early to guarantee your spot.

Meet Your Hosts

Nancy "Ultra Mama" Shura-Dervin and Cyndi Wyatt are your hosts for the Getaway. You will be in great hands as Cyndi and her husband Ricardo lead your trail runs and hikes in the beautiful Angeles forest. Nancy will give a couple of her "world famous" Ultra Mama Coaching Clinics so be sure you take notes. The weekend is a wonderful opportunity to pick the minds of your fella ultra runners who will share experiences and trail talk.

Yoga Instructor and all things Mind & Body

As committed to her career in investment management as she is to her practice, Yasmine Elli Watanabe decided eight years ago to devote her life to yoga, both on and off the mat. She studied first under Annie Carpenter, most known for designing the YogaWorks teacher training curriculum around her Ashtanga and Iyengar lineage. Yasmine then spent two years teaching full-time at such studios as Equinox, specializing in private, regular instruction for high-level executives. By the time she traded in bare feet for stilettos, she had begun studying intensely with Laura Amazzone, MA, author, scholar, university professor, and initiated yogini in the sakta lineage. Inspired by a path which seeks empowerment and equality through ancient earth-based wisdom, she spends her time advocating for sustainable investing and corporate social responsibility in both financial and non-profit institutions. She is the proud daughter of Cyndi Wyatt.
