Welcome to the Sacfit Community Point-to-Point Marathon Training Run. This training run is part of the Sacfit Marathon Taper Program, a shorter marathon training program for those who are currently training for a marathon and would like an inexpensive option to running his or her last longest training runs with company and support.
The Sacfit Community Point-to-Point Marathon Training Run has been a hallmark feature of the Sacfit training program for the past 13 years and has been held on the second Saturday of November, as the final long workout three weeks before the CIM and other early December marathons.
This training run includes free parking and a free bus ride to the Folsom start. From there, with a pace group, you essentially run back to your car! Along the way, you will have several fully stocked aid stations, so all you need to do is run and focus on your training. We take care of everything else!
At the finish, you will have an opportunity to pick up your training jersey, unwind with a beer garden and enjoy the rest of the morning.
In addition to this training run, you also have the option to attend our October 27 long workout, as well as our mid-week coach-supervised track and tempo workouts to further hone your training during the final month leading up to the CIM or other December marathon.
