5k race (runners & walkers) starts at 8am
Come join us for the Inaugural Arts & Hearts for Covenant House 5K! This race, held in gorgeous Audubon Park, will benefit the youth of Covenant House here in New Orleans. Your race fee (except a tiny portion for registration) will entirely go to providing a home, food, medicine, education, and love to the homeless and runaway young people being nurtured at CH. You will be providing hope on their journey away from abuse, violence and trauma.
All finishers will receive a beautiful handmade pottery medal, and all preregistered racers by May 20th will get a soft, short sleeved T-shirt.
All awards are created by local artisans, including potters, photographers, metalsmiths, watercolorists, bakers, and more! Hang on to your bib after the race for the chance to win additional art if your lucky bib number is called.

There will be a race bib packet pickup and registration at Louisiana Pizza Kitchen on Carollton on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:30-8 where you can meet the artists and other donors! (However, t-shirts are not guaranteed if registered after May20.) We will also have late signup here if we haven't filled our race and race day signup- only 250 slots available!
